About Amels Yachts

This Dutch shipbuilder has been building yachts since 1918. They’ve grown as part of the Damen Shipyards Group, a powerhouse in luxury yacht building. Kees Amels established this family boat building business in the north of the Netherlands. Amels was sold to Damen Shipyards Group in 1991. The Amels name and brand was kept. Fourteen years later they moved their production faculty to Vlissingen at the Royal Schelde yard, now the largest yacht building facilities in the Netherlands. To date Amels has delivered more than 60 superyachts.
